London Police Stations Closing!
What next Sharia Law?
Sadiq Khan has confirmed that more than half of London’s 73 remaining police front counters are to close. 37 police stations face imminent closure, leaving just one 24-hour police station open to the public in every borough. They include those in crime “hotspots”

London is now more crime ridden and dangerous than New York City, with rape, robbery and violent offences far higher on this side of the Atlantic.

Crime across the UK is up by 13 per cent, with a surge in violence in the capital blamed for much of the increase. Criminal justice experts blamed the reduction in neighbourhood patrols across the capital.

While both London and New York have populations of around 8 million, figures suggest you are almost six times more likely to be burgled in the British capital than in the US city, and one and a half times more likely to fall victim to a robbery.

London has almost three times the number of reported rapes and while the murder rate in New York remains higher, the gap is narrowing dramatically.

These are all the stations that face closure.

Russ... they are not even coppers anymore... they are more social workers... when you ever watch that `Force' show on SKY all they do is pick up loons that should not be out on the street... and spend an hour trying to talk them down from a brick wall... one of them said he joined the Police force to hopefully make a difference and stick the bad guys away... but all he seems to do is to do a job that he is not trained up for (social/care workers).... it's completely shit

It's nothing to do with cuts and funding. Plenty of poorer countries have a more visible police force feared by criminals.

It's about the fact that they care more about taking selfies outside mosques and painting their nails to celebrate LGBTQWERTY+123 pride and arresting people for criticizing immigration on Twitter than they do with bothering to catch real criminals.

I watched an old episode of The Bill the other day. Fell about laughing when 2 coppers were on the beat and talking to local shop owners as they passed by.

Mate, three weeks ago I had a conversation with a guy who now works for one of our suppliers. He had just left the police after 26 years.

He said to me if the public knew the true extent of how the cuts have affected the ability to stop / solve crime then there would be riots.

Re: London Police Stations Closing!
It's not such a major deal in the grand scheme of things. Police stations are hardly used to report crime anymore.

But one reporter did say that he felt this was an erosion of the symbol of what the police represents and that can only be conducive to feeding the confidence of criminals. And I have to agree.

Re: London Police Stations Closing!
Our police these days are simply more concerned with dancing at gay pride parades and arresting people for crimethink on Facebook

Meanwhile crime continues to rise.

It's just how the police are now. They're too scared to tackle crime because of the soft PC culture of the last 20 years. No one respects the police and criminals certainly aren't scared of them.

The police around where I am rely on cameras and social media to get results. It seems technology is seen as the magic answer to saving money on people.
You'll rarely see a police car and if you do it's likely a traffic car.
There are a couple of good bobbies trying to do community policing but they have no chance with all the stuff going on and in fact I heard today one of them is being moved elsewhere.

Crime is definately rising and thieves are more bold as the likelyhood of them being caught or even having police investigate a crime is low.
